Effortless Meditation

A 5-week live, online course to

Learn a form of meditation that’s actually effortless

The effortless distinction

There are many different kinds of meditation from various traditions with very different techniques and goals. Effortless Meditation is a simple, enjoyable mental process practiced with your eyes closed, in a comfortable position which feels good.

Thoughts are welcome in this practice. There’s no concentration or force involved.

This is for busy, stressed people. The more hectic your schedule, the more likely Effortless Meditation is to become a lifeline for restoring your energy.

This is your practice, customize it accordingly. Customize your practice anywhere, anytime by just sitting with your head unsupported and eyes closed. There are no uncomfortable positions or stillness required.

You'll feel calmer, more energized and more creative: A daily Effortless Meditation practice brings immediate, short term and long term benefits. From your first session, you'll feel more resilient to stress and able to restore your energy. Perfect for morning routines, work breaks, or whenever you need to recharge.

“I thought meditation was about being able to concentrate..”

Just science, not religion

Effortless Meditation is non-secular and can be practiced alongside any religion. There are over 600 peer reviewed studies of the physical and psychological effects of non-concentrative meditation done by universities like Harvard and UCLA.

The findings of these studies show that effortless forms of meditation help with:

Boosting your mood

Increased relaxation

Reduced stress

Reduced anxiety

Better sleep

Anti-aging effects

Improved creativity

Mental clarity

Better immune system

The Origin

of Effortless Meditation

Walter Bellin worked within the TM organization for many years before branching off to create Effortless Meditation—much like others, including Deepak Chopra and Thom Knoles. While his technique remains true to what he learned from Maharishi, Walter sought to make meditation more accessible by removing any religious associations, and adapting the practice to be more approachable for modern life.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

Effortless Meditation was founded by Walter Bellin, who spent many years studying under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. In the 1950s, Maharishi introduced an effortless form of meditation from India to the U.S., which later became known as Transcendental Meditation (TM).

Over his 50+ years of teaching, Walter has personally taught over 100,000 people, and today, an estimated 2 million people worldwide practice Effortless Meditation.
